Bachelor of Architecture (BArch)​​

The 5-year B. Arch course is approved by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi, and the college is affiliated with APJ ABDUL KALAM Technological University or commonly known as Kerala Technological University, Trivandrum.

Bachelor of Design (B Des)

The four-year long course of B. Des in DCSAAD is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and the college is affiliated to APJ ABDUL KALAM technological University or commonly known as Kerala Technological University.

D C School of Architecture and Design Trivandrum, promoted by D C Books is the latest capital city venture of D C KIZHEKEMURI foundation who has been a major contributor to the educational and cultural realm of Kerala for several decades.

The academic philosophy of DCSAAD aims at a holistic, sustainable and integrated approach through traditional and contemporary teaching-learning practices for developing the individuality & selfesteem in each student and to add values to their responsibilities as a social being. A pool of renowned faculty with years of experience, practicing architects, artists and personalities of various connected disci­plines from around the world are joining us in this journey of redefining architectural education.

Pedagogy and Student Archives

The academic philosophy of DCSAAD aims at a holistic, sustainable and inte­grated approach through traditional and contemporary teaching-learning prac­tices for developing the individuality & selfesteem in each student and to add values to their responsibilities as a social being. The design studios and courses have been meticulously detailed for students to understand architecture as a multifaceted discipline, a thought process and away of life which is highly empathetic to the people and surroundings. Highly process oriented discourses which are deep-rooted in personal narra­tives blent with the stories of people and place enable the student to perceive the perceptional, behavioural and psychological dimensions of space and to translate the thoughts into built forms.

‘HIS/HER.STORY- Thought Parallels in Bangalore’: Experiences of Spaces in Bangalore and Hassan’: Preparatory study and research as part of the fourth semester studio: ‘Manifestations of Historicism’ Fourth semester DCians at Trivandrum revisit and analyse their learnings on derivation of Vesara forms and details in connection with the land and stories in the past, at Belur and Halebidu. A walk through the Hoysalan regime of form and spaces.

Akam Idam Porul

An eventful 20th August!–DC Trivandrum’s First edition of the annual student works exhibition series: ‘Akam-Idam-Porul’ inaugurated by Architect Padmashree Dr. G. Shankar. The exhibition was a journey giving a deeper insight into the exclusive Pedagogy of the institution. The event had participation from practicing architects, academicians, architecture students and aspirants.

Nirangalidam

നിറങ്ങളിടം” – The wall art workshop held at DC School of Architecture and Design in Trivandrum, led by the renowned artist Vishal, was a vibrant and inspiring event. This workshop provided a unique platform for students to delve into the world of wall artistry and explore the limitless possibilities of colors, shapes, and expressions. Through this hands-on experience, students had the opportunity to unleash their creativity and learn from an expert.

Campus & Infrastructure

Our campus of 2.5 acres which is located with in the lush green Kinfra Film and TV park, Kazhakkoottam. It is well established with spacious studios, state of the art library, well equipped computer lab, material museum, climatology, visual arts and carpentary workshops & other labs. We have hostel & college bus facility for accommodation & trans­portation. The college has a basket ball court, shuttle court & gymna­sium for extra curricular activities apart from an amphitheater & an FM radio with in our premises. The entrepreneurship club run by DCSMAT, Tvm, our sister concern, provides the managerial skills re­quired for the profession.
